A homely ambiance in Riverbound, offering brunch and lunch classics. The Works Omelet was delicious, and the potatoes had a nice, salty flavor. Service was great, and overall a good brunch experience in Mechanicsville.

This is a local town favorite. Wide open cafe with a full bar too. Almost combining brunch, seafood, and sports bar. Despite its size it feels quite intimate. Obviously brunch is its big thing which I will say chicken and waffles are awesome but seriously this place takes pride in its seafood too hence the name. If you want to go all in go for the salmon or crab cakes. The services is great too. Very friendly. The perks of one of those small town cafes.

Food is always good and service is good, reasonable prices and good atmosphere, nothing that will rock your world but good food at good prices something that is hard to find nowadays. Not a five star restaurant but a steady reliable restaurant

I wasn't sure that this cafe was open when pulling into the parking lot, because all the shades were down and it appeared dark inside. Luckily, it was. The servers were welcoming as soon as we stepped in. The menu looked delicious, but we both ended up ordering Reuben's. They were absolutely delicious! Best we had had in years! The service was great. I deducted the one star because I ordered the Tator tots instead of fries and the waitress didn't mention the upcharge. I hate those little surprises. The cafe is larger inside than what you would expect, but with the shades pulled tight in the middle of the afternoon, it had an odd ambiance. I was thinking how cool they could make it, with a few tweaks, to seem like it was a speakeasy cafe. We are already planning a second visit!

I ordered the gardener omelette with potatoes and biscuit. Server recommended the biscuit. Spouse got pancakes, bacon and scrambled eggs. It's hot out so the air conditioning feels great. The omelette was wonderful. I could not finish so I took some home. The biscuit was delicious. I put butter and strawberry jam on. Server was excellent offered take out box for leftovers. Left full and happy.

Came in for breakfast on a Monday morning. I ordered the chicken biscuit and it was great. The chicken was crispy and the egg folded and stacked high on nice fluffy biscuit. It came with crispy potatoes. I asked for the house made hot sauce to put on my biscuit and so glad I did. It's like a thicker tabasco sauce. Really good. My boyfriend ordered the veggie omelette and enjoyed his meal as well. Service was friendly and food came out pretty fast. Would return.
